What started in a small, single-stall apartment garage in South Dakota has grown into a thriving community of outdoor adventurers. My very first videos showed me freezing in the winter while installing rod holders on kayaks — and thanks to loyal subscribers, those early DIY clips turned into a channel full of in-depth tutorials and hands-on projects.
With the encouragement of our community, my wife Katie and I took a leap of faith and invested everything into our dream. We packed up and moved to Cape Coral, Florida, buying an older ocean-access canal home sight unseen — all to pursue the YouTube lifestyle and bring more adventures to the channel.
Today, KayakDIY continues to grow with videos that help paddlers, anglers, and boaters build, customize, and enjoy life on the water.
